How to set your Buddy in Pokemon Go

If you haven’t assigned a Buddy in Pokemon Go yet, here are the necessary steps you should take:

    To begin, open the Pokemon Go app. Then, tap on your avatar’s face. To access the ‘Buddy’ feature, navigate to the ‘Me’ tab and look for the icon displaying two smiling faces. Lastly, select a Pokemon of your choice.

To easily switch buddies, just follow these simple steps: Your avatar’s main screen will display your Buddy’s face if you already have one.

  1. Launch the Pokemon Go application.
  2. Give your Buddy a tap on the bottom left corner of the main view screen.
  3. Please scroll to the bottom and select ‘Swap buddies’ by tapping on it.
  4. Select another Pokemon to accompany you.

The maximum number of buddy swaps allowed per day is 20.
