How to catch Legendaries in Pokemon Go

In Pokemon Go, the primary way to acquire Legendaries is through victorious battles in 5-Star Raids. These Raids pose as some of the most challenging encounters within the game, necessitating the collaboration of 3 to 5 skilled trainers of high levels to successfully conquer them.

After successfully defeating a Legendary Pokemon in a Raid, players are presented with a limited number of Premier Balls to attempt to catch it. Given the low catch rates for these Legendaries, it is advised for players to employ Razz berries and aim for Great or Excellent Throws in order to enhance their chances. It should be noted that shiny legendaries are guaranteed catches, thus utilizing Pinap or Silver Pinap Berries will yield more Candy.

Encountering the Galarian Birds in the wild is only possible by utilizing the Daily Adventure Incense. Although the likelihood of coming across these Legendary creatures is quite rare, capturing them is even more challenging. Therefore, it is essential to be prepared with Golden Razz berries and Ultra Balls in order to increase your chances of successfully catching them.

Cosmog stands as a unique case among 5-Star Raids, as it cannot be obtained through this method. Instead, the only way to obtain a Cosmog is by completing various Special Research quests. By embarking on the Cosmic Companion Special Research journey, trainers can also evolve Cosmog into either Solgaleo or Lunala. However, during the Hidden Gems season, players were given the opportunity to encounter Cosmog through the Starry Skies Special Research quest.

Previously, Legendary Pokemon were included as rewards in the Research Breakthroughs. However, this altered due to the implementation of Raids within the game. It remains uncertain if there will be alternative methods to obtain them in forthcoming updates.
